Overview
Scott is skilled at drafting and negotiating custom-designed insurance policies that fit the needs of his clients and contain clear and unambiguous terms and conditions without overbroad exclusions or unrealistic prerequisites to coverage. He also assists clients in developing risk management philosophies and structures that reflect the clients’ goals in a variety of areas, including self-insurance programs, policies for financial reporting compliance, standards for quality control and safety, and computer and network security (including security for third-party personal and financial information).
In addition, Scott has extensive experience managing sophisticated business transactions for national and international companies. In particular, Scott is responsible for coordinating insurance and risk management legal activities for an international business concern with a multilayered corporate structure, including negotiating cyber policies providing coverage for losses relating to data security and electronic communications.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Scott served for six years as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps before receiving his J.D. from Northeastern University in 1992.
