Michael concentrates his practice primarily in the area of insurance coverage, ranging from long-tail environmental claims under commercial general liability policies to class actions under the Massachusetts standard automobile insurance policy. He also has experience in the areas of bad faith, product liability and reinsurance. In addition to handling matters at the trial court level, both state and federal, Michael has assisted the firm’s clients in obtaining affirmations of trial court judgments in both the Appeals Court of Massachusetts and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
Michael was active in the study of intellectual property law during his time at Brooklyn Law School. In particular, Michael was a member of Brooklyn Law School’s Intellectual Property Colloquium, a program in which he and other students viewed presentations and reviewed papers by leading intellectual property scholars.
