Kara Loridas is an associate at Hermes, Netburn, O’Connor & Spearing, P.C. who concentrates her practice in the areas of litigation, insurance coverage, products liability and insurance law. Kara counsels businesses in connection with insurance coverage contracts and disputes, bad faith litigation, products liability, asbestos and toxic tort actions.
Prior to joining the firm, Kara was an associate at an insurance defense firm in Massachusetts where she represented individuals, businesses and municipalities in both state and federal court. Kara’s experience includes insurance-related litigation, with a particular emphasis on insurance coverage analysis, and third-party insurance litigation.
During law school, Kara served as Note Editor on the Suffolk Transnational Law Review.
USF Insurance Company v. Langlois, et al.
Massachusetts Appeals Court affirmed Summary Judgment declaring that insurer owed no coverage obligation to an innocent co-insured for loss caused by another co-insured’s criminal and dishonest act. Successfully defeated insured’s application to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court for further appellate review.
Burton-Gorman v. Colbea Enterprises, LLC, et al.
Summary Judgment obtained in Barnstable Superior Court in favor of commercial lessor holding that lessor owed no duty of care to plaintiff for injuries allegedly sustained on premises.
Polastry v. HP Hood LLC
Summary Judgment in favor of property owner in personal injury action.
