Matthew C. Kalin
ASSOCIATE
Matthew Kalin is an associate with Hermes, Netburn, O'Connor & Spearing, P.C. Mr. Kalin concentrates his practice on the areas of general, civil and commercial litigation, construction law, surety and fidelity law, and insurance coverage and defense.
Mr. Kalin joined the firm in 2009 with litigation experience in the areas of product liability defense, insurance defense and consumer law. Mr. Kalin has experience in handling matters throughout New England in both state and federal courts.
Additionally, Mr. Kalin served a one-year term as a law clerk for the Rhode Island Superior Court. There he performed research of various legal matters and assisted in the drafting of numerous published judicial opinions.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Mr. Kalin received his B.S., cum laude, in both Finance and Marketing in 2003 from Boston College and he received his J.D. in 2006, magna cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School. While in law school, Mr. Kalin received the Suffolk University Jurisprudence Award for his work in Civil Procedure. Mr. Kalin also was a board member on the Suffolk University Law Review.
