Adam Combies is an associate with Hermes, Netburn, O’Connor & Spearing, P.C.  Mr. Combies concentrates his practice on the areas of general, civil and commercial litigation, construction law, and insurance coverage and defense. 

Prior to joining Hermes, Netburn, O’Connor & Spearing, Mr. Combies was an associate at a mid-size firm in Boston, concentrating his practice on defense and litigation of civil actions in state court and federal court, including municipal liability, products liability,  premises liability and the defense of toxic tort and other long-term environmental exposure claims.

Additionally, Mr. Combies served a one-year term as law clerk for the Honorable Patricia A. Hurst of the Rhode Island Superior Court. There he researched and wrote on a variety of legal issues presented on the civil motion calendar. 

Mr. Combies was recognized as one of Massachusetts’ “Rising Stars” in the field of civil litigation defense by the publishers of Law & Politics and Boston Magazine in 2009. 

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Mr. Combies received his B.S. in Finance in 2003 from Boston College and his J.D. in 2006 from Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient and served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of International Law and Commerce.
