Michael S. Batson is a shareholder of Hermes, Netburn, O'Connor & Spearing, P.C., a Boston law firm dedicated to providing personalized, cost-effective legal representation to each of its clients.  Mr. Batson focuses his practice on the areas of general, civil and commercial litigation, construction law, insurance coverage and defense, environmental law, complex tort and product liability law.  Mr. Batson has experience handling complex matters in Massachusetts’ state and federal trial and appellate courts, including the Massachusetts Business Litigation Session.

Mr. Batson was recognized as one of Massachusetts’ “Rising Stars” in the field of civil litigation defense by the publishers of Law & Politics and Boston Magazine in 2009.  

Mr. Batson was born in Fort Myers, Florida.  He currently lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Mr. Batson received his B.A. in 1997 from Duke University, where he majored in Economics and Public Policy Studies.  He received his J.D. in 2000 from Boston University School of Law.
