Hermes Netburn Attorney, Elizabeth C. Sackett, Successfully Obtains Client’s Dismissal from Lawsuit
(Boston, MA – September 21, 2017) Hermes Netburn attorney, Elizabeth C. Sackett, successfully obtained a dismissal for one of its’ insurer client from a lawsuit seeking damages for breach of contract and violation of Chapter 93A. The allegation arose out of a property damage loss at a mill building located in western Massachusetts. The owner of the mill sought coverage as an additional insured for claims brought by a tenant for damage caused by a water loss. The tenant sought damages to the leased premises, including personal property and loss of business. Through Elizabeth’s work, the court determined the plaintiff/owner qualified as an additional insured for the loss, but concluded that the damages were otherwise excluded under the terms of the policy. The firm’s client is thrilled with the results brought through Elizabeth’s representation.
