(New York, NY – August 13, 2017) Hermes Netburn Shareholder Tony Sbarra completed his two-year term as Chair of the American Bar Association Tort Trial and & Insurance Practice Section’s Products Liability Committee at the ABA/TIPS Annual Meeting in New York City. During this year’s term, Tony served as a Program Chair for and presented at the Emerging Issues in Motor Vehicle Product Liability Law Seminar in Phoenix, Arizona in April, contributed written submissions to The Brief and participated in all of the Committee’s other activities.  The Committee itself was presented with the Most Innovative Award at the Annual Meeting through which the Section commended it for the creativity and innovation displayed in its efforts to recruit, involve and retain members of the Committee and the Section.  For 2017-2017, Tony was appointed to serve TIPS on its CLE Board, Ethics & Professionalism and Long Range Planning Standing Committees.  He is also a Vice-Chair of the Trial Techniques and the Toxic Tort and Environmental Law Committees.
